The Borinqueneers - A Documentary - Issue 48

On June 9th construction was begun on a “Borinqueneers Park” in Perth Amboy, New Jersey in honor of the soldiers of the 65th Inf. Regt. The park is on a six-acre former brownfield. It will be remediated into a world-class ‘smart’ waterfront park and have three main zones: a play-mountain with a skate park, a flexible recreational park, and a restored coastal landscape. Borinqueneer veteran Ervin Machado (of Co. C) attended as a guest speaker along with other local officials.
