Borinqueneers Park Education Alliance
The Borinqueneers Park Education Alliance is operated exclusively for educational purposes in fostering Puerto Rican Cultural Heritage, Education and Fraternity through the construction of a veteran’s memorial for the Puerto Rican 65th Infantry Regiment, the only segregated Hispanic unit in U.S. Army history.
In addition, the alliance seeks to:
- Honor and educate the public of the regiment’s heroic deeds during the Korean Conflict for which they were awarded a Congressional Gold Medal, and other Puerto Rican cultural and educational programs.
- Assist in conceptualizing and planning state of the art skate park.
- Brand Perth Amboy, New Jersey as a welcoming community to live.
